ORIGINS
Our founder was born with very sensitive skin, often experienced rash and itchiness on face and body. With her science and healthcare background, she started looking deep into diet and things that come in contact with our skin daily, which is skincare products.

She studied every single ingredient which contains in facial cleanser and body wash to understand how they impact our skin. She found out that the market is crammed with confusing, chemically enhance skincare options that contain sulphates, parabens, artificial fragrance and colouring, which is not healthy for our skin, and could even possibly cause irritation to those who are having sensitive skin. She then turned to hypoallergenic liquid cleanser, the skin irritation was much lesser, however, the cleansing experience was not great because the skin stills feel greasy even after cleansing.

Up until one day, she came across natural soap and gave it a try. The result has amazed her as the soap cleanse so well and the skin feels moisturized after cleansing. She tried all types of soap on herself including glycerin soap, hot-processed and cold-processed soap, and found that cold-processed soap moisturizing effect was the best among all.

After working with a soap maker who has more than 10 years soap making experience, PIIFOO was born! We worked on multiple formulas to create a cold-processed soap with gentle, heavenly hypoallergenic cleansing effect so that normal to most sensitive skin get to indulge in the nourishing cleansing moment. Our founder insisted not to add any dye and have made the soap unscented, not even adding essential oils, as many studies have shown that some sensitive skin could possibly react to essential oils, so why take the risk =) We only focused in using highest quality herbs and plant oils that provide moisturising, soothing effect and also reduce inflammation. Our soaps were made gentle for the face, so they could be used on your body too!

OUR PACKAGING PHILOSOPHY
Looking After Our Planet
We use reusable , recyclable and used packaging and will continually work towards reducing waste.
While creating our soaps, we also dream to balance our lifestyle with the urgent needs of our planet. We want to show the world that it is possible to reduce our environmental footprint. By using solid soap, we have cut down a lot of plastic usage that comes with the facial cleanser and liquid body wash. We can also minimize waste generated by rethinking the way we do our packaging. We learned that taking care of ourselves and our environment are movements that flow harmoniously - one cannot exist without the other. After all, our planet is our home.

Steps that we're taking to help the planet:
1. Using non-laminated craft box to pack our soaps so that they are recyclable
2. Saving water by making solid soaps
3. Soaps are made of 100% natural ingredients, means no chemical flowing to the ocean after face or body wash
4. No plastic bottles from liquid face and body wash end up in our landfills
5. Offering option for eco-packaging, using used bubble wrap, used craft box and used mailer (thank you Save The Plastics for Me (Malaysia) for collecting bubble wraps and mailers)
6. Use honeycomb wrapping instead of bubble wrapping for gift packaging
